Peace May Be Had | Final Iran/US Update For 26th February 2026

🚨 Iran-US Nuclear Talks UPDATE | War Averted? Geneva Round 3 & Vienna Talks Explained

As of Thursday, February 26th — here’s your full geopolitical update on the Iran-US standoff and nuclear diplomacy.

Geneva Round 3 is DONE — and the news is cautiously optimistic. Both Omani and Iranian delegates expressed that good progress was made, and crucially, further talks have now been SCHEDULED for Monday in Vienna, Austria. These are described as “technical talks” — meaning we’re past the big-picture posturing and getting into the real nitty-gritty: uranium stockpiles, enrichment sites, verification and monitoring mechanisms.

When you schedule technical talks, it strongly signals a deal is close — or may already have been reached behind closed doors.

So is it war? Right now, the answer looks like NO. Mistrust remains high on both sides, particularly from Iran — which has every reason to stay on alert. But a cross-analysis of multiple sources and recent actions suggests the US and Iran may have agreed to enough for military de-escalation to begin.

Meanwhile, back in Washington, Democratic lawmakers are drafting legislation that would REQUIRE Trump to seek Congressional approval before any military strike on Iran — making war even less politically viable.

So how did Iran get a great power to stand down? What was discussed behind those closed doors in Geneva? My gut says: four words. Iranian oil and gas. More on that tomorrow.

This is geopolitics — no western spin, just the full picture.
